NNF1 has it's roots in a game established in the late 80's through to the early 90's called "Supernews". It was a hand written A4 sheet which covered each GP and kept tab's on the results. Back then huge amounts of money were involved - I think the winner must have taken home at least R80 rand but due the global economic downturn and shifts in the rainforest climate of the Amazon and general good will NNF1 will still be free to play in 2011.
NNF1/Supernews was re-created because I had too much time on my hands and because Formula 1 is the best sport in the world, sure cricket runs it close specially when the Protea's are on form (lets hope that Aussie beating form carries through to the ZA tour - our turn for sleepless nights here in OZ...) but for pure controversy, speculation, speed, adrenalin, grid girls and, and um, F1 just has the goods...No really. Absolutely.
Seriously NNF1 was re-created because Mark contacted Deric and thought it would be a good idea for all of us to keep in contact and it has grown from there. A global phenomenon. A massive world wide audience of nearly 20 last year. Unstoppable already.
Enjoy!
