July 5th - The Mid-term Report

Some competition please....

It's true Martin started the year off very well and still has three teams in the top seven but the "Smelly Bogatini's seem to have a hold on the competition for the top spot. The problem is that THERAT having had a fairly bad start to the year has moved three of his teams into the top eight. Come on chaps you know the Rat can't win this thing 2 years in a row, people will start to say it's rigged so get your fingers out and start giving me a hard time! Werner has done well with his "Edge Racing T1" but can he handle the pressure as the championship moves into the last half?

Brad, Jorg and Keith have all dropped the ball in the past few races letting Martin and Deric dominate the top order. Between them they have six of the top eight teams! George is nicely nestled in 4th with his team but can a Team 3 team challenge through the entire season? Two players that were amongst it last season, namely Jon and Alvin have been sleeping through most of the GP's - Alvin's excuse is that he is in Israel this weekend and wont even be watching the GP! Huh! Jon has been doing better ON the track in karting than he is doing in the serious business of NNF1.

Thirston, generally clueless concerning motor racing - specially since they don't make the chassis out of wood any more has had a great season so far, lying 13th and 17th and Sarah has is ahead of all three of Colin's team's in 16th place - and she lost interest when Senna went off the road and Gerhard Berger retired! Lewis for some strange reason holds some interest (I think it's the father/son road to fame bla, bla ,bla story) but other than that....

So at this stage in the championship it looks like it will be fought out between, Martin, Werner and Deric. Brad, Jorg and Keith are all knocking on the door of the top eight but need to knuckle down and get some consistent points performances if they want to challenge the top order. The rest of you? Well it's looking pretty hopeless unless you get your F1 strategies sorted out, there's still 9 races to go after Silverstone so there is time to change things around - you should be dreaming about NNF1 day and night, the unbelievable prize of the NNF1 virtual trophy, such things only come around once a year - Bunch of girls blouses...
