The in's and out's of winning the NNF1 title in 2008

With less than 30 days to go before round one of the F1 World Championship the calculation, speculation, and soothsaying on team selection for NNF1 is causing sleepless nights around the globe. Well probably not but with the introduction of Championship 3 into the game there is a veritable cat among the pigeons for 2008. With the values as they are at the beginning of the season the right choice of team in Championship 3 could well win the extremely coveted NNF1 Trophy (apparently - well actually know one has seen it yet).

There are certainly a few unknown's when looking at the formula one field for 2008. Honda? Red Bull? Renault? BMW? Williams? How well these teams feature is probably how the championship (NNF1) year will be shaped. One team could really start the season well and then fade awaaaay for instance.

However there are a few known's in the field. Super Aguri are going to be shit (for pace) but probably fairly reliable. Toyota are going have surprising pace on occasion and be shit for the rest of the year. Ferrari are going to be very hard to beat just about anywhere I should think. McLaren will be there about's. Honda will be slow at the start (of the season) and will pop up as pretty handy on occasion and probably be very strong towards the end of the season.

Another factor will be reliability although it's importance wont be as significant in NNF1 as it was last year. Those of you who have taken time to read the rules ('er hem) will know that the point per lap scheme has be abolished and is replaced by a not so punishing 5 points for a classified finish (and none for a non finish...).

The agony of decision! Ha, ha!
