NNF1: The Breakdown - Rounds 5 and 6
So with another two rounds down, Jorg has maintained his qualifying aggression and still leads the King of Q! The top four was stable for two GP's in a row with Werner moving back into the top three adding a pole position to his name and following up with a couple of consistent runs. At the top The Smelly Bogatini's have held onto the top spot but by only one point over Martin's Mosley GP Team. Martin as ever consistent has his sights firmly on the championship lead after Montreal, the place of Lewis' first win. Can Ferrari upset the party??
The surprise package in the top order this season have been Brad and Keith, Brad's kept the Flyers in the top ten from the first race and is looking threatening in 5th place. Keith stumbled a bit in Monaco (like most of the top order), rain and Monaco always producing a different result, isn't that right Kimi?
Sarah and Thirston made the most (ie: they were lucky...) of a chaotic Monaco GP to move up a few positions. Alvin is still doing better with his Team 2 & 3 than he is doing with his number 1 team but he made a strong comeback last year and could easily do the same this year. Jon who has made steady progress from a rubbish start made good progress but dropped a few places with his best placed teams despite finishing strongly (4th & 5th) with his other two teams.
Canada, usually an exciting race can of course toss all the perfectly orchestrated pit work and planning of an NNF1 Team out of the window which means Colin may even finish well and Thirston could possibly win two in a row!
Canada this weekend which means for us in OZ a gamble with the technical whims of recording on a VCR (no DVD recording facilities in the NNF1 headquarters...) and hopefully we can watch it in the morning. Luckily for us it is the Queen's Birthday weekend and we can watch it on Monday morning after we wake up rather than the broadcast time of Monday morning 3am...The joys of living 'down under'...
